What the job that is suitable for people with obsessive compulsive disorder?
I have obsessive compulsive disorder, and often get fired. My symptoms is that I keep on checking things over and over again. For example, I keep on checking the door lock and light switch over and over again to see if it locked properly, so that I get a right feeling that it closed properly.
If you have obsessive compulsive disorder what kind of job you have?
There is many more different kinds of checking rituals that I do which I am too ashamed to say.

Security Guard might be something for you, it requires checking and rechecking locks, etc. BTW, they have medicine for that now too so you can have less worries!
maybe you can try a job such as in security. it needs carefull attention on those detail (door lock, light on/off).
My suggestion would be postoffice or anything that has to do with checking the details. My uncle has OCD even though he won’t admit it and he works in a lab. Since everything has to be checked and double checked it works for him. I used to work Walgreens Pharmacy dept and there is alot of double and triple checking of perscriptions to make sure you get the right pills the right amount to the right person.
they fire you for double checking? They should’ve appreciated you more.
Maybe accounting, quality assurance. Try a shipping depatment, things need to be correct when they are sent out to customers.
During the interview, tell your new boss about the disorder, he’ll put you someplace where you are appreciated.
Light switch tester?
You can try walking dogs, making scrap books for people, fruit baskets, dog houses, bird houses, Sell things on Ebay, Sell Avon or SMC http://www.smc.com make your own business over the internet, Detailing cars, write books, I would suggest doing things that you feel comfortable doing, it’s not really up to us what you can do, its if you can find an employer to work with your disorder. Have you ever thought about filing for SSI or disability and just work from home? Its just a suggestion but if you dont want to do that, and thats totally understandable, just keep at it, keep trying new jobs… you may be suprised and find someone who is willing to work with you. Also, I would suggest (if you arent already) going to a counselor and getting on meds. that can really help.
