Question by Jason: Is there a specific phobia for the “fear of opossums?”?
I’ve read that their are many people that have a specific fear of opossums. Me being one of them. I’m not afraid of rats or mice. Just opossums. When I see one in the wild or even just a picture I get so completely freaked out that I can’t stand it. They have sharp teeth, rat tails… they’re nasty!!!! Is their a specific phobia? Or am I just crazy?

the complications of claustrophobia?

My son asks many questions which I always try to find answers for, although this one has me baffled. He would like to know if there is a specific name for people who are scared of tortoises. There are many terms for different phobias but I can’t find one for this, any help would be really appreciated.

Have you ever heard of Emetophobia ( the fear of vomiting or being near someone who is vomiting), do you know anyone who has been succesfully treated and the method used? Exposure therapy is not an option.
