Question by Syn Lia: What are some credible sources of a panic disorder?
I am doing a project for school, and we have to state causes of a panic disorder, and credible sources of a panic disorder. I don’t really know what credible sources are, so if you do i’d appreciate some help !

Medication is not an option, so don’t even bother. Therapy is good for coping ie. not blowing your brains out. What else is there?
I’m not against therapy! Where did you get that idea?

Okay, for the past 2 years now, I have suffered from OCD, Anxiety, Panic disorder…Yeah, I lot of things a 21 year shouldn’t have to deal with..well, actually nobody should!
Anyways, I have the classic symptoms:
-Trouble breathing
-Chest pains
-Numbness
-Fast heartbeat
-Nauseous
-Tingling feeling all over body
-dizzy
-tired
Yeah, I don’t know..ALL of the symptoms. So, I’m still confused about the way I feel a lot. I get such weird feelings, Like sooo weird..that I’m not even real..and it’s such an eery feeling, I hate it. I’m always sick. I get colds all the time. Like, right now..I have a chest infection…and I’m taking anti-biotics for it. Yesturday, I felt just fine..and then I woke up this morning feeling ill, AGAIN. I totally thought I was better. I didn’t even have a panic attack yesturday. Anyways, I also woke up this morning with a soar throat, not like in my throat..like outside, it feels like a muscles pain in my neck, or like when you have swollen glands. I don’t get it…one day I feel fine, the next I feel sick ALL over again. I’m really frusterated. I know all about meds…and I know all about breathing excerises. I’ve done them all, and i’ve actually gotten rid of my anxiety for quite awhile. (Without meds, or anything)
I’m really worried about myself..I feel really weird a lot. I’m always searching for something cause I have a bad feeling it may be something else. So I keep going to the doctors, and most of the time when I see a new doctor I dont tell them about my anxiety, cause I want them to figure it out themselves..that I have it. They dont usually say I have panic disorder..they say I have other issues..like gastric inflammation, ulcers, Ive been told I have asthma..and it turned out I didnt. I’m really confused. Is it really this normal to feel this sick all the time with anxiety? I feel so stressed. Can someone with expirence tell me what they went through, or what the know please. I need some advice.
Thank You

They started a while ago, and for no reason. At random times every few days or so I’ll freak out over nothing. I worry a lot, and that makes them worse. I experience nausea, dizziness, shaking, and I get really emotional. I know it’s all in my head though.
Any way I can calm myself down, and experience these panic/ anxiety attacks less frequently?
They are getting worse

Some info on panic disorder?

Question for people who suffer from panic disorder. Ive suffered from this for a long time. And it seems lately my symptoms are changing. Can some of you let me know what you experience???
I use to take anti depressants, but refuse to been 3 years. Ive had my throat all of a sudden feel like it closed up and couldnt swallow like everything tensed up…then after that full blown panic…..

I need some work/ art to compare with actual accounts of post traumatic stress disorder. Does anyone have any good movies/ or other works that I can use.

I know exercise helps, but how much? I’m willing to completely revamp my lifestyle if I can control this without meds. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
