I know i need my Docs feedback on meds however I would not be doing myself a good service if i didnt check out whats worked for others. Thanks you all!!

I have been taking Zoloft for about 6 months but the headaches, dizziness, nauseous and hot flashes are wearing me out. I have tried Pexeva, with bad results. I also take Ativan. Any suggestions? I go to the doctor tomorrow. Thanks.

I don’t want to go on medication for my panic attacks.

what other ways are there to help them?

I have recently been diagnosed with Panic Disorder, and the psychiatrist put me on a low dose of lexapro, while saying people get over this without medication, but it sounded like I wanted it (I don’t think I ever said that). I don’t want to have to rely on medication for the rest of my life, and I’m getting the sexual side effects, which is really sucking. I was wondering if anyone has overcome this without medication, just therapy, and how hard it was. Or if anyone has done it with medication, or both. Advice from people with experience is preferred, or professionals.
Thanks

Nonaddictive please..

There are a number of panic attack cures you can try. However, all of them revolve around five basic steps. Follow the tips below to gain an understanding of your condition. This is the first step you can take towards curing the attacks.

1. Accept and recognize that you are having a panic attack. Even though you may have other symptoms for e.g. chest pain and breathlessness, they are not indicators of other serious conditions. On the other hand, it is a medical condition. The symptoms are real and not imagined. Therefore, don’t berate yourself for feeling scared if you are having them.

I had found out that i had generalized anxiety disorder and im going to go see a psychiatrist to talk about medication
i just want to know what type of medication can be used so i can researche the side effects
Thank You :)

I’ve been on some medications in the past, none of them cured me only made things a little bit more managable and I was curious if anyone had a great success with any.
Its a medical problem for me, it has nothing to do with “stress” or “worry”, I’ve had the condition for the past 12 years or so. Sometimes it seems worse than others and I can get by with out Meds, but unfortunalty now I’m in a bad time.
