Doctors love medications. First you should try to figure out why you’re having the attacks, thinking about it logically, and trying to over come them. Try thinking about it before dealing with the issue and think of ways of how to deal with the issue so when the issue comes up, you’re already prepared.
If this does not work, you’ll have to find the right drug for you. I like the rock medication. I forget what it is called but it had the rock on the commercial. I think it’s zoloft.
For some the drug works, for others not so much. So it’s really trying different ones and seeing which works for you. But I do recommend trying to work the issue out without drugs. Drugs are addicting and doctors rarely will keep you on it forever. So when they force you to cut it off, to some it can be really rough.
A lot of antidepressants are prescribed to help with anxiety, and i’ve been on Celexa for anxiety before. However, the most helpful medication by far has been lorazepam (Ativan) which is a benzodiazepine. This drug family includes Xanax and Klonipin, as well as a lot of other medications. These tend to calm you down for a couple hours, depending on the medication and how much of it.
Lorazepam has saved my life and gotten me through a lot of stressful situations. It’s the only medication i can say really helps me.
