Is there a comparison between Obsessive Love Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder?
Are stalkers suffering from a trait of obsessive love disorder? And what is the difference between obsessive love disorder and nostalgic love? (I know that there is more than one ? here, but after reading about them it seems to me that there is a lot of similarity between the symptoms of nostalgic love, obsessive love disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, and emotional dependency. Are we really using a bunch of different terms for the same condition, or are these all diff in some way?

A disorder is a disorder is a disorder . Even when you substitute ‘compulsion’ with ‘love’ it does not mellows down.
A nostalgic love will not stalk a neurotic one will do. Love benefit both partners, and it’s not a OCD.
I think that not only stalkers, but those who won’t get out of a bad relationship, and those who won’t stop loving someone who has left them, are feeling obsessive love disorder.
Thinking it over, they all seem pretty much the same–though they are named differently. I imagine at the least, they are “cousins” to each other.
I am going through this very thing myself. I have never staulked a woman in my life, but I feel so in love with this woman I was with I can’t stop e-mailing her. I can’t stop calling her. I stop by her house in the mornings and after work. She has dumped me 12 times in twomoths. I want to jsut leave her alone, but I feel like I can fix things and I want to make it work. I know she loves me, she tells me so. So when do you know when it is time to just give up? How do you know the difference? I am confused and in trouble. Please feel free to e-mail me with any advice twigits@yahoo.com.
