Is exposure therapy a subset of cognitive behavioral therapy?

I am doing a report and I need to know if I should put exposure therapy in a different category than CBT. Thanks in advance, and please don’t answer if you don’t know.

I’d put exposure therapy squarely into the behavioral category rather than cog-beh.
If you’re talking purely exposure with response prevention (i.e., immersing your client in that which they fear and providing no escape), that’s definitely a behavioral intervention.
If you’re coupling it with cognitive techniques to reduce the anxiety, however, you can go ahead and categorize it as cog-beh.
Good luck with your decision,
