Does heavy alcohol abuse cause an increase of panic disorder or panic attacks?

yes alcohol screws up everything.
i have not researched this at an adequate level, but i have know a lot of heavy drinkers. it seems to me that some people get more psychological problems with heavy drinking – and among those possible problems is panic attacks.
Remember, even though people think of alcohol as making them feel better, its effects on the body, brain, and lungs is a physical and CNS depressor.
Yes, heavy alcohol use can lead to anxiety and panic attacks or make an existing anxiety/panic disorder worse.
