How does the biological perspective explain obsessive-compulsive disorder?

i want to knit blanket and hat for a baby gift but i am afraid that the yarn will break and unravel and the baby will strangle itself. is it a rational fear or an obsessive compulsive disorder thought? i should or should not knit for baby?

earlier i said i kept on looking into my butthole to see if i had any toilet paper in there, i didn’t see any but something in my mind said to keep checking to be sure.
