Panic can; depression may recur: see http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris on pages 2 and 8.
Hmmm…this is a tricky one. It definitely depends on the person. Some people go through periods of their life when depression and anxiety are more prevalent. Thye can go over them and be just fine. Then, there are other people who have consistent depression and anxiety. I guess I’m one of those people because anytime I have ever tried to lower my dosage of medicine, it doesn’t work and the panic attacks come back. There is hope, though! When I found the right medication and dosage, I went years with NO PANIC ATTACKS and I’ve had panic disorder for 9 years now.
I started with panic disorder about 13 years ago (I was 11) When I was 18 I finally kicked it and was fine for 5 years. Now I am on Xanax and Zoloft. I feel like I lost the battle. I thought I was free, now I am a prisoner again. I don’t think it is anything you can truly kick.
