The overall aim of relaxation is to de-stress the body and mind.

It is significant for health to study how to live without suffering and worry and is a chiefly good means of relieving anxiety hence why it is optional to those suffering from psychological disorders.

Many people whom live with stable anxiety do not know how to relax and can find trying to relax a demanding knowledge as they go on to worry about the time tired or do not have the skills to free their mind of all opinion and their body of all tension.

Cures For Panic Disorder

People who do not suffer from panic disorder often do not realise how serious this condition is. Symptoms include trouble breathing, sweating, feeling in grave danger and losing control. Many people will feel like they are actually dieing. It can really ruin people’s lives.

Before looking at possible cures for your panic disorder you should try to determine what exactly is causing it. By far the most common cause of this disorder is stress. For many people simply reducing the amount of stress in their lives will greatly reduce their panic disorder. If this does not work you may want to try other remedies.

Treatment of Panic Disorders In Africa

The treatment of anxiety disorders in Africa is not as advanced as it is in the advanced countries.

One reason is misconception by the general public. Mental problems are generally looked down on by the people. It is commonly believed that one has been bewitched and no cure exists for such a person. The level of stigmatization can reach aberrational levels.

Note that people who suffer from panic disorders can not be classified as “mad”. They simply conclude such a person has issues, some serious ones!

There are many types of anxiety disorders and many types of therapies for them.  A common type of anxiety disorder is a panic disorder which can result in panic attacks.

These attacks are extreme and happen very suddenly.  When a person suffers from them, the person usually starts to worry about when and where they will have another one.  Consequently, they start to avoid situations and places where they have had these attacks.

Countless experts agree that combining two specific types of therapies results in the greatest assistance for these sufferers. These two types of therapies are cognitive therapies and behavioral therapies.

Medication is not an option, so don’t even bother. Therapy is good for coping ie. not blowing your brains out. What else is there?
I’m not against therapy! Where did you get that idea?

Panic disorder treatments – The two choices

Psychotherapy is one of the most effective and popular natural panic disorder treatments. Cognitive-behavioural therapy is one of the most effective forms of this natural method. This therapy concentrates on the thoughts and the behaviour of the person during these anxiety disorders and exposes it to the victim so that he is well aware as to how should he deal with them in the future. This technique tries to focus on all those things that actually contribute to this disorder.

I was diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and panic disorder with agoraphobia. All of this fear and anxiety stems from my fear of vertigo. I have nerve damage and hearing loss in my right ear and have had horrible experiences with the vertigo in the past. In April I thought it was coming back because I had a weird dizzy spell and I haven’t been the same since. I went through different stages and I am to the point now where I am afraid to do anything by myself and I have been staying with my parents. I have worse anxiety in the mornings and I cry a lot because I feel so helpless and like I am a burden on everyone.
I finally saw the psychiatrist and he prescribed me with clonazepam(klonopin) .5mg twice a day. I just started taking this medicine last night at 7pm and I took one at 6am this morning. I woke up still feeling the anxiety and worry. Does anyone know how long it takes to actually kick in after you begin taking it? I don’t mean how quickly a pill starts to work but how long it takes to be steadily in your system that I might start to feel better? I also wondered if the clonazepam will help calm my fears I have about getting vertigo? Did this med make any of you that might have taken it feel dizzy or get vertigo? My doc said the dizziness I may get from it is nothing like vertigo. I hope they are right. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated, I know this is a long post and if you read it and respond thank you for the taking the time to do that.

One time seizure triggered Panic Disorder?

I had a grand mal seizure for the first time in late December of last year. I went to the doctor and the Ct came back clean. I had an EEG done two weeks later and while I’m still waiting for the results to be read by a Neurologist the guy administering it said that it looked like I was having absent seizures. But before that, about a week after the seizure I woke up having what I later discovered to be a panic attack. It made sense because Panic Disorder runs strong on both sides of my family. Now almost a month after the first seizure I have been shaking, tremoring and have odd sensations all over my body. I pursued my GP who said that it was probably just anxiety. Am I just imagining these symptoms or could these be partial seizures or something else? Is it likely that I will have another grand mal seizure?

Do you suffer from Panic Disorder/Agoraphobia?

Hi,
I’m currently part of a drama group creating a play that deals with the issues of panic disorder and agoraphobia. We really want to have an honest, realistic portrayal of these conditions – would anybody be willing to share their experiences?

More specifically:
How does it affect your every day life?
What are the things you struggle with most?
Are there certain triggers for panic attacks?
Do you find it’s hard for others to understand?
