I am 25. In 2008 I had an episode of rapid heartbeat. I was taken to the ER who found nothing wrong on my EKG. I had another episode of rapid heartbeat January of 2009, and also found out I was pregnant. My symptoms were pushed off as pregnancy related. I gave birth in October and was doing fine then last week I had a rapid heart rate again with a headache and dizziness. I’ve been very concerned over my heart rate I check it several times a day obsessively afraid it will get fast again. It happened last night and tonight upon waking up. I’ve cut out all caffeine, and even msg. It is the most frightening feeling in the world and when it happens I have to throw wet rags around my neck, I flush, and sit in a cold area like outside. I get so afraid I hold the phone ready to call 911. Last week I did but the emt said my hr was 120-130 steady, oxygen fine, bp slightly elevated he believed it to be a panic disorder and said I didn’t need the hospital and they left. I am terrified though of this being a real issue. Advice on where to go next or experiences are needed please.

i know this sounds crazy but i may have panic disorder. a couple months ago i was driving and i started to feel lightheaded so i pulled over and my friend started to drive. that was fine until it came back and i started to have a panic attack because i thought something was seriously wrong. after having numerous tests done i found out i am healthy as a horse. but i am still worried i am going to have an attack like that. my hypochondria keeps me thinking something is bad. so today i was driving again and i felt weird and my heart started to race and i began to worry. even now i feel freaked out that i will never be the same again. i just want to know if i cant die or go crazy, and if not how can i get better. please any help is greatly appreciated.

because for after the car incident i thought it was a tumor, but ive talked to many people who are of great knowledge in the medical field and they are certain its not, and i thought the absentmindedness is from a tumor. i hope not!
