DO you have to *FOCUS* on the change when you relax your muscles. cuz i just do it casually without much thought when i release. I do it in bed at night before I go to sleep, and i tense all them but my mind usually wanders and i dont pay attention solely on that muscle group. I know im not getting the whole mind body benefits but arent i still benefiting, releasing tension?
Yea, I know the answer is no right now, but I am being optimistic… do you think there will ever be a cure for Panic Disorder? and by cure, I mean, a way for doctors to correct the chemical imbalances in us, other than through meds?
I am on zoloft and clonazepam for panic disorder,Although they help, I get bad panic attacks a week before my period and it is so uncomfortable! What can i do to lesson the panic?
I was diagnosed with anxiety and panic disorder a couple of months ago and one of my fears is living with it. Sometimes i feel like i’m loosing control, going crazy or even dying and with time, it seems like i become scared of simple things I once enjoyed. Is it possible to get over it? Is there anything i could do to less fear it?
I have had panic disorder, I’ve had it for quite a long time. Mine is free floating. I’m medicated for it but I still have mild panic attacks. What do your panic attacks feel like and do you find that anything triggers them? I’m trying to figure out if mine get triggered. THX
A clip from “Joy of Living: A Public Talk” DVD, Recorded in August, 2007. In this talk based on his groundbreaking first book, The Joy of Living (Harmony Books), world-renowned Buddhist teacher Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche invites us to join him in unlocking the secrets behind the practices of meditation. Working with neuroscientists at the Waisman Laboratory for Brain Imaging and Behavior, he provides clear insights into modern research indicating that systematic training in meditation can enhance activity in areas of the brain associated with happiness and compassion. He has also worked with physicists across the country to develop a fresh, scientifically based interpretation of the Buddhist understanding of the nature of reality. Mingyur Rinpoche weaves together the principles of Tibetan Buddhism, neuroscience, and quantum physics in a way that will forever change the way we understand the human experience. I have obsessive compulsive disorder, and often get fired for checking things many times. what kind of job do you think is suitable for me? If you have obsessive compulsive disorder what your symptoms? what kind of job you have?
I have many different symptoms. I tends to keep on checking things over and over again. For example, I keep on checking the door lock and light switch over and over again to see if it locked properly, so that I get a right feeling that it closed properly.
I have severe anxiety and I’ve been having anxiety attacks for months. I can’t take prescription pills because I’m an air traffic controller and I’ve been trying herbs (valerian, ignatia, passion flower) but nothing seems to work. And I ALWAYS have anxiety attacks when I have to speak to a group and next week and have to give a short presentation to everyone in my work and I’m petrified of having an anxiety attack. Please help me.
Lucky are those who have a lot of friends and family surrounding them who accept and love them unconditionally. For this group of people, it may be difficult to imagine how a woman can be scared to stand in front of the line in a store for the simple fear that everyone behind is watching her. A young man, who fears rejection from the new people that he will potentially meet may not have the ability to go out and socialize. These two situations are symptoms of social phobia which is one of the most common fears that Americans face today.
Social phobia is also referred to as social anxiety where a person experiences fear when facing other people in a social situation or expresses unnecessary worry about what other people may think. Social phobia may come in the form of fear of public speaking, fear of joining a public or group gathering, extreme self-consciousness and worrying about what other people may think by expecting criticism and disapproval.
Is it possible to have a specific phobia disorder of a person? I’m not afraid of this person persay- but i experience definite anxiety symptoms around them…not sure why.
