Modifying your dietary intake may be the key to reducing your anxiety and stress levels. In addition to removing stimulants like caffeine and nicotine, reducing your sugar intake can also help. High sugar consumption can lead to a variety of conditions including diabetes or hypoglycemia if you experience sudden, dramatic drops in your sugar levels.

Hypoglycemia symptoms such as trembling, light headedness, palpitations and irritability all mirror the symptoms of a panic attack. Americans today simply eat too much sugar, it´s in the soda we drink, the processed meats we eat and the desserts we consume.

To better understand agoraphobia and how it works, one must understand a little about panic disorder. Panic disorder is an anxiety disorder and is characterized by unexpected and repeated episode of intense fear accompanied by physical symptoms that may include chest pain, heart palpitations, shortness of breath, dizziness, and/or abdominal stress.

These episodes of panic usually pique at three minutes and go away after about five minutes. People with this disorder have “trained” themselves to think the worse and cause these episodes to last upwards of thirty minutes to an hour. It is shown that 1 in 3 people who suffer from panic disorder also suffer from agoraphobia.

1, 2, 3 – panic! Make yourself have a panic attack right now. Go ahead, try it. You probably won´t have any luck. Why? Because even though I´m telling you to do it, there´s nothing really to panic over at this moment and you have decided not to have a panic attack.

Anxiety is a pain in the neck; in fact it can be a debilitating pain all over your body if you suffer from severe anxiety.

During an anxiety attack, it can feel like death is imminent, your heart races, your chest tightens, your breathing becomes labored, your body suffers oxygen depravation, you lose feeling in your limbs, the list of potential symptoms goes on and on.
